On a beautiful, sunny July morning in Egg Harbor, WI, John, Gracie and I along with Meredith Thompson’s parents cheered Meredith on as she crossed the finish line of the Door County Triathlon.

Meredith participated in the triathlon in Katie’s honor and she was amazing. We got to know Meredith and her family when Katie was Meredith and here sister Emily’s nanny while Katie was in college.

At the end of the event Meredith presented Gracie with her medal; a truly touching moment.
